Now on to my post

I am so excited to welcome you to my first 100 Cartridge blog hop being part of the My Cricut Craftroom design team.  You should have come from  Teresa's blog.  If not, please start at the beginning here .   If you have never done the 100 cartridge blog hop before let me explain a little.  The design team from My Cricut Craftroom creates projects using at least 100 different Cricut Cartridges.  You may see projects made with some of the same cartridges, but there will be 100 different cartridges used throughout this hop!    For my first blog hop I have chosen to use Playtime, Celebrations and Feeling Groovy to make this Birthday Banner for a friends 40th Birthday.

For this banner I used a dark purple cardstock for the base (my picture makes it look a little blue to me). Paper was from Americana Cardstock pack. Using my Gypsy the base was cut out 5.20 x 7 from the Preserves Cartridge tag feature. The Second Layer was from Playtime Cartridge (scalloped) and was cut at 4.65. The number 40 was cut from the Celebrations Cartridge cut at 2.69
I used my cuttlebug to emboss the number 40 and present with the "happy birthday folder".  I also added candles to the top of each one which will total 40 candles.  Candles were cut from the Celebrations cart at 2.69" I either embossed or glittered the candles.  It's kinda hard to see with this pic!!

Here's a closer look
I cut out a few things like a cupcake, purses, high heels, martini glass, from celebrations, everyday paperdoll, sweetheart & From my Kitchen. She's a purse and shoe gal LOL!  Can't have too many! I also stamped a few fancy lady's using "My Creative Time" stamps.  The banner reads "Happy 40th Ang" Letters were cut at 3.60" using the Feeling Groovy Cartridge, I made sure I used the shadow feature for the letters and used a darker shade -- used pop dots actually alot of pop dots which made everything POP.

Sorry my pictures didnt come out too well.  It looks alot better in person LOL

Hope you like!!  Thanks for stopping by!
Just wanted to add----these are the cake pops my sister and I made for the celebration..  Chocolate cake-covered in chocolate candy melts---decorated with purple candy melts with the # 40 and some swirls.
Your next stop is Tiffany

Here is the entire line up for today --hope you enjoy!!
